Our bed & breakfast in the Blenio Valley
Sleeping at Casa Gatti means staying in our home: a historic house from 1850, with the soul of the past… and the comfort of a recent major renovation.
If you are looking for a bed & breakfast in the Blenio Valley, you won’t find a hotel here: you will find a different rhythm. You walk more slowly, take off your shoes, breathe and let yourself be enveloped by the quiet of the territory.
The Blenio Valley is also called the valley of the sun: its light is part of the experience, from morning until sunset.

And then there is Debby: she welcomes you, accompanies you and always remains your point of reference. Because here guests are not “customers”: they are invited to our home. And they really are — because we live here.

Large, light-filled rooms
We have 6 bright and spacious rooms: three of about 30 m² and three of almost 20 m². Most of them have many windows and a feeling of openness that invites you to rest: here the light enters, remains, and accompanies the day naturally.

When you get up, meet us in the dining room, we are sure Bik will be in the kitchen with his things and Debby will be ready to say good morning.
Bathrooms en suite or bathroom in the atrium
Three bedrooms have en suite bathrooms, for those who want maximum privacy.
The other three have access to a large bathroom in the atrium, reserved exclusively for these rooms: comfortable, spacious and designed to be lived in with simplicity, without the feeling of “sharing” typical of standard accommodation.
Tailor-made craftsmanship and deep rest
A detail we care a lot about: the rooms are furnished with custom-made handcrafted pieces. Wardrobes and beds were made for us by a carpenter from Zamora, Jesús Pastor (Cake).
The beds are made of red cherry: a warm and quiet wood, which gives presence to the room and creates a perfect atmosphere for a deep rest.

A story of stone and light
In a historic house, rest is different. There is something about the calm of the ancient walls, the solidity of the stone, and the way the light comes in through the windows that invites you to slow down the pace.
In harmony with the territory
In winter, the house remains cosy thanks to underfloor heating, which is fed by local biomass from the sawmill about 150 metres away. The result is a soft and constant comfort, which is felt especially in the evening and at night: stable temperature, quiet and a feeling of real home.
In summer, however, Casa Gatti surprises with its natural freshness: the stone walls maintain a pleasant temperature even when the sun warms the valley throughout the day. And when the desire for water and nature arrives, the river is close: between natural pools and quiet corners where you can immerse yourself, it doesn’t take much to treat yourself to a refreshing bath and return home wearing the right summer—the light one.
